President Trump pledged to streamline energy access and create favorable conditions for the project. However, it remains unclear whether other companies will eventually be allowed to use this infrastructure or if it will remain exclusive to OpenAI.
Construction of data centers in Texas, where OpenAI will train its next-generation AI model. Ten facilities are already underway.
Management: OpenAI leads operational oversight, while SoftBank handles financing with support from Abu Dhabi’s MGX fund.
Technology Partners: Microsoft, Nvidia, and Arm are core contributors.
Interestingly, OpenAI is also working on Project Stargate — an initiative to design and build next-generation data centers and specialized infrastructure for future supercomputers, with completion targeted for 2028.

This $500 billion project is being developed in collaboration with Oracle and SoftBank, with investments planned over four years. The initiative was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump in the presence of key executives: Sam Altman (OpenAI), Larry Ellison (Oracle), and Masayoshi Son (SoftBank)

OpenAI’s valuation has grown significantly with each new funding round. In 2023, after a $10 billion deal with Microsoft, the company was valued at about $29 billion. In late 2023, it held a tender round, increasing its valuation to $86 billion. In its penultimate round, completed in 2024, OpenAI raised $6.6 billion, pushing its valuation to $157 billion.

This growth makes OpenAI one of the most valuable private tech companies in the world, with a valuation comparable to Goldman Sachs and SpaceX.

2024
revenue grew more than threefold to $3.7 billion.
Revenue and loss forecasts for OpenAI in 2025 suggest significant income growth alongside high operating expenses. The company’s revenue is expected to reach $11.6 billion in 2025, a sharp increase from $3.7 billion in 2024. Key revenue streams include enterprise sales, ChatGPT subscriptions, and technology licensing.

At the same time, OpenAI continues to face substantial computing costs, which could result in losses of up to $14 billion in 2025. This is driven by the need to scale infrastructure to support a rapidly growing user base and implement new features.
